Blossom into Spring Project

The Countryside division at West Berkshire Council contacted us a few months ago with an invitation to take part in the Blossom into Spring project.

“Across the county 224 Tai Haku cherry trees have been gifted to parish councils and are being planted in remembrance of local residents who have sadly passed away with Covid-19. Not only will these trees provide a lasting memorial for residents to remember their loved ones, they will improve the district visually and contribute to carbon sequestration.” West Berkshire Council.

Two were planted on Basildon’s village green in the week before Christmas.
