Here are just a few of the many clubs and societies in and around Basildon: 


2nd Goring and Streatley Scout Group


A friendly and family oriented traditional Scout Group that caters for boys and girls from six years old up to adults in the Oxfordshire and Berkshire area.
AFC WhitchurchUnder 18's football club based in Whitchurch on Thames. League home games played at Basildon Village Hall.

Friendly amateur dramatics group based in Upper Basildon.
Basildon Badgers FC
Fun football for kids at the recreation ground every Saturday from 9am.  
Basildon Barbarians FC
Football club playing in the Reading and District Sunday League
Basildon WIMeets on the second Tuesday of each month at St Stephens. Visitors always welcome.
Basildon Youth Club     Open to all aged 11 to 14 years, every Monday between 6pm and 8pm at the village hall.  Free entry with a tuck shop on site should you wish to purchase refreshments.
The Chatterbox We are a new, small group of ladies meeting in the church centre once a month for a cup of tea, and piece of cake and a chat.  If any other ladies or gentlemen would like to join us you would be made very welcome. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month between 2.30 and 4pm and the only charge is £1. Please come along, or contact Val Broadbent (01491 672328) if you want to find out more.
Horticultural Society The BHS aims to provide a social environment for people of all ages to learn about different aspects of gardening and generally improve their skills.
Inspirations School of Dance Dance lessons for children of all ages held weekly at Basildon Village Hall.
Monkey MusicMonkey music classes are starting in Basildon Village Hall from 14th September 2016 - Jiggety Jig for 2&3 year olds at 10.10am, Heigh-Ho from 12 months at 10.50 and Rock 'n' Roll for babies from 3 months at 11.30am. Contact Val on 01635 860959 for further details.
PilatesPilates classes are held Monday mornings (9.30 - 10.30am) and Wednesday evenings (6.30 - 7.30pm)at Basildon Village Hall
RBSS Royal Berkshire Shooting School
RDNHS Reading & District Natural History Society (meets in Pangbourne)
Table Tennis Club meets every Friday between 8-10pm at the village hall. (next meeting 7th October 2016)
Tai Chi & Qigong Classes Local Tai Chi and Qigong classes in Goring, Streatley and Pangbourne.
Tennis Club Friendly, village club.  Newcomers always welcome.         
Yoga Classes   Suzanne runs her popular yoga class every Tuesday afternoon at the Village Hall from 1.30pm.
Yoga for fitnessBen Du Bernard runs her popular Iyengar style yoga classes every Tuesday evening (from 8pm) and Thursday morning (9.30 - 10.40am) at the Village Hall.  Pay per session, first session £5, £8 thereafter.
